On Saturday, March 3 our Indiana County Animal Response Team ( CART) was part of Family Fun Fest Day at the Indiana County Mall. Two other members Ann Pandullo and Jennifer Asbury and I set up our display booth and had pictures for the children to color related to rules on approaching strange animals.

Tulip, a shelter puppy, was one of the biggest star of the day. I don’t know how many people went through but last year’s count was over 12,000 people. Everyone was very receptive to us and we got some volunteers and I was personally asked to speak at Thunder Mountain Lenape Nation weekend in Saltsburg PA on Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19.

We succeeding in getting some new members as well as a person volunteering their large equipment for our use. We will be meeting at the local Indiana County Humane Society for our monthly meeting on March 8, 2007 and getting hands-on training with live dogs and cats. Every month is an adventure.
